About Me

Hi my name is Joyce and I’m the owner of The Gloved Ox. I was born and raised in the thumb of Michigan and have a passion for rural life, homesteading, and DIY. I own a poultry and deer processing business with my wonderful husband, nicknamed Ox. I also provide 24-hour care for six differently-abled ladies that I consider my family. I love being outside, working with my hands, and my friends will tell you I am a crazy chicken lady!
We have been a happy seller of deerskin gloves to our processing customers for over ten years. Our previous glove supplier is ready to enjoy a little bit more of their retired lifestyle and I want to continue providing gloves to deer processors, tack shops, and other local businesses in our area.
The Gloved Ox is in the beginning stages right now so please bear with me as I work out the kinks and try to learn everything I can about the different types, qualities, and cuts of gloves. If learning gloves wasn’t enough, now I find myself doing this in the middle of a global health pandemic that’s wreaking havoc on manufacturing deadlines and shipping times! But I like to face challenges head on and look forward to working with anyone interested in carrying deerskin gloves in their local business.
